I thought based on the image for the article that this would be about a Ron Silver Cinematic Universe.
Going through this time I just realised that Silver didn’t produce McBain even though it sort of seems like he should have. As such it uses Colombia (filmed in Philippines) as its setting rather than Val Verde, and also only made $400k on a $16m budget.
