I’m more a pancake man myself, or was back in the bad old days. I get the appeal of fried ridges of a waffle, but the creativity and craftsmanship that goes into a quality pancake raises it to a different level of art. And sure you’ll see your pancake molds for the lazy or desperate, but they’ll never rise to dominate the food type the way the waffle iron pricks have.
