So this is Gen Z’s equivalent to way back in the early days of tv when, instead of commercials as we know them, the actual actors (sometimes in character, sometimes not) would take a break to enjoy whatever product was financing the show, and sing its praises for the benefit of the audience…
…by now everyone has been on YouTube and seen Fred Flintstone and Barney Rubble take a breather from their usual shenanigans to enjoy a smooth and mild Winston cigarette.
I suppose pseudo-Mexican snack foods are a step up.
P.S. Maybe it’s just me, but even going into this article knowing literally nothing about what Chicken Girls are/mean, upon viewing the opposing double head shot of Rooney and Birdie at the beginning, my first thought was:
