Not that it’s the most important thing he’s wrong about or anything, but this motherfucker thinks the Constitution was written in 1776.
I love how he ends his book on how we should never forget the civil war and always glorify the confederacy with a quote from one of his all-time heroes saying that we should completely forget the war and never glorify the confederacy.
Though it’s kind of par for the course with these guys; they claim to worship Lee but totally ignore the one thing he was right about. It’s why I like John Oliver’s compromise position on removing confederate monuments: he suggests we leave the statues of Lee, but add speech bubbles of him saying “I specifically asked you not to do this.”
