But it wasn’t an idea these authors came up with. It was actually a fairly common belief in the 70s and 80s. You can see it in other works from that time.
It’s wrong! There is no truth to the idea. But it wasn’t just made up for the purposes of this book.

It’s this book of “jokes” from the 1960s where every single punchline is workplace sexual assault. And it was written by the same couple that wrote the Berenstain Bears books.
